About the Game
Genres is an original word game that has two primary objectives. The main one is to lower genre pieces to the bottom to level up. While doing this you can solve the genre title to ignite the creative fire and eventually unlock the hidden bonuses. The game has only one mode which is a relaxed turn based one.

Gameplay
In the above left example "reminders" is spelled using adjacent squares. You can spell words in any direction using any adjacent letter.
The next level is achieved by moving all 12 genre pieces to the bottom of the board. Earn bonus points by solving the Genre Title before you run out of turns. You can still level up even if this is not completed.
Writers Blocks will appear throughout the game, freezing the space it's in. To melt Writers Blocks, simply use a letter that is horizontally or vertically adjacent to the block.

A word with at least six letters will get you the Random Letter Bonus. Seven or more letters adds the Vanquish Letter Bonus. Eight or more = Exchange Letter Bonus and finally nine or more open up the Creative Fire Bonus.
The Exchange Letter Bonus will let you swap any two letters on the board. The Creative Fire Bonus (middle image) will melt all writers blocks.

- A Magic Book that transforms all letters.
- The Phoenix Quill that ignites the creative fire.
